In the Spirit of Resilient Optimism

Maybe I’m alone in this, but I find political commentary cliché. The victims may change, but the jokes and jabs remain essentially the same. Our elected representatives are little more than an archetype, a caricature.

There’s just no wit in the political cartoon business.

I am, however, glad the campaigning is over. The gratuitous barrage of fliers and pamphlets and letters had been screwing with my Netflix deliveries. I’m also glad the curse of Republican strategizing has been lifted from John McCain and he’s returned to his usual self.
