Surgery has risks. It always does. There could be an adverse reaction to the anesthesia or other medications, blood may not clot properly, the head may be mistakenly removed instead of the testicles… any number of undesirable things may happen.

There are also significant trust issues to consider. Our relationship has been built up slowly, day by day, over the months. And now, all of a sudden, I am forced to abandon him. He will be left in a cage, poked, prodded, vivisected. Who's to say he won't take it the wrong way?
