Some stories work great as bar babbles, others as films, others as songs or novels. Yet still others work wondrously as comics.
Of course, many, if not most people hold negative stereotypes about comics; they are juvenile, embarrassing, illiterate. But I believe comics are just being confused with network television.
A single frame of a comic, if done properly, can convey everything and nothing simultaneously. The subjective interpretations of the reader can impose captions and context and moods with the same ferocity of the actual event.
Then again, maybe I'm just too lazy to draw out four panels.
