Films have made single trigger epic memories cliché, but that doesn't mean they don't happen.
I mean, here I was, living my life, and all of a sudden the visage of a tomato sent me flying down memory lane, to a time when I worked, played, loved, and ate in Chinatown.
I'm cooler than you thought, huh?
For two and a half years, I lived off twenty-four hour noodle stalls and open produce markets. I couldn't read menus or ingredients, but most things were edible (I wouldn't recommend cooking your own jellyfish unless you know what you're doing, though).
But this story is about tomatoes. And as it will stretch across three comics, I'll split my comments between them. Take that! Haha.
