Insofar as I can tell, there is a single bar in Las Vegas that does not have any sort of video poker devices built into the counter or standing in a corner.
It is the closest thing this city has to a real city's bar. It is dimly lit and filled with heavy oak (or oak-looking) furniture. Velvet curtains cover the doorways and creepy Victorian portraits bedaub the walls. Industrial dance music that was popular in underground clubs in Europe three years ago intermingles with the chatter.
But like everything else in Vegas, the crowd doesn't match. The kids are too pretty, clean cut, and talk like surfers.
So goes.
But anyway, I made my way to the bathroom and found they had black toilets. Haha. Really now…
